Website Up ("we," "us") provides a website health-monitoring service that watches a website you own and alerts you when something needs attention. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address.
- Contact details for alerts — your mobile phone number, only if you choose to enable SMS alerts, and your device push token if you enable push.
- Monitoring data — the website address(es) you ask us to monitor and the results of our checks (uptime, domain expiry, content changes, contact-form tests).
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number.
- Usage and log data — basic technical information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To monitor your website and detect issues.
- To send you notifications through the channels you choose (push, email, and/or SMS).
- To process your subscription and provide support.
- To keep the service secure and reliable.
SMS / text messaging
If you enable SMS alerts, we send automated text messages to the phone number you provide, about your own monitored website (for example: your site is down, or your domain is about to expire). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the service — for example, our payment processor (Stripe), our SMS provider (Twilio), and our email and push-notification providers — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Your choices
- Turn SMS alerts off in your settings, or reply STOP to any text.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
Website Up is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
